2 men on stone wall, repairing bullock dray, cutting handl for tools.

Making tubs & tool handles.

Men working,self writing.

Sunday.

Horse hunting. Mrs Withnall & sister left.

MAY 24.

Two men as above. McC started for plough at Withnall's, seed wheat & seeds. Self making up Nairn's things; & getting wood for harrow.

MAY 25.

Good water in well but not enough of it. All as above.

MAY 26.

Men tried for water in another place, not as good. Worked at old well. Self repairing churn &c.

MAY 27.

Men all employed. I lost most of the day making butter.

MAY 28.

Two men quarrying stone for floor of shed to shear on. I went out some miles with Nairn, feed very good and an abundance. L. went to Dig-down (Post Office).
