That the Taxes or AfTeffments within curity for Mo- ^j^g f^ij refpective Diftridts, fliall be charged and chargeable with the Payment of the principal Money fo mes orrowe . ^^ ^^ borrowed by the Commiffioners for fuch Diftridts refpedtively. and the Intereft of fuch Money, from Time to Time; and fhall veft in the refpedtive Creditors, upon Default of Payment of fuch Principal and Intereft, until the fame fhall be fully paid and fatisfied, together with the Cofts and Charges occafi- oned by the Non-payment thereof; and the faid Creditors, their Executors, Adminiftrators and Afligns refpedtively, fhall have the fame Powers, Rights and Privileges of aftefling, raifing and recovering the fe- veral Taxes or Affeffments payable by the feveral Owners and Occupiers of Lands and Grounds within fuch Diftridts refpedtively, for and in Rcfpedt of fuch Principal Money and Intereft, in cafe of Default of Payment thereof, as the faid Commiflioners and their Colledtors could have had, in cafe fuch Principal and Intereft had been regularly and fully fatisfied and paid. Applifationof XXVI. And it is hereby further enadted, That all the Taxes or Affeffments which fhall be rated, the Monies. charged and raifed by Virtue of this Adt, in each of the faid Diftridts, and the Monies borrowed on the Credit of fuch Taxes or Affeflmcnts refpedtively, fhall be applied and expended in defraying fuch Pro- portions of the Expences of obtaining this Adt as is herein after-mentioned, and in making, performing, eredting, providing and maintaining the Works for draining, imbanking and preferving the Lands in each Diftrict refpedtively, and in executing and performing fuch other Works as by this Adt are diredted or authorized to be done and performed by the refpedtive CommiiTioners for fuch Diftridts, and in defraying the other necelfary Expences of executing this Adt, and in Difcharge of the Principal and Intereft of the Monies borrowed in Relation to and upon Account of every fuch Diftridt refpedtively; and to no other Ufe or Purpofe v/hatfoever. Chiigesofthe XXVIl. And be it further enadted by the Authority aforefaid. That the Charges and Expences of ob>- p.€t to be paid in taining this Adt fhall be, in the firft Place, fully paid and fatisfied out of the Taxes or Affeflrnents to be equal Parts by jaifed within the faid refpedtive Diftridts, or the Monies to be borrowed on the Credit thereof, in equal eatfaDinnft, Parts and Proportions ; that is to fay. One fixth Part of all fuch Charges and Expences fhall be paid out of the Taxes or Affeflments, or Monies borrowed on the Credit thereof, in each of the faid fix Diftridts, AnnualMeetiiigs XXVIII. And be it further enadted by the Authority aforcfaid.
