C. ^2* ^23 nies raifed and received by Virtue of this Aft, within or in Relation to fuch refpedsve Dii^ri£l:s (and upon Officers to ac- Oath if the fame ftiall be required by fuch Conimifltoners or Proprietors, or any one or more of them, count on Oath, which Oath any one of fuch Commiflioners is hereby impowered to adminifler) the faid CommifTioners and Proprietors, or the major Part of them {o aflembled, are hereby impowered to allow and pafs under their Hands the faid Accounts, or fuch Part or Parts or the fame, as ihall appear to them to bejuft and reafonable; and fuch Account or Accounts, or fuch Part or Parts thereof, fhall be fairly entered in two diflinct and feparate Books, to be kept for each Diftrict for that Purpofe ; whereof one Set fhall be kept by the Treafurer or Treafurers, or fuch other Perfon or Perfons for each Diftrict refpectively, as the faid refpective Commiflioners (hall appoint, and the other Set thereof fhall be depofited in the Vellry Room of the Pariih Church of Ramfiy ; and tlie lalf-mentioned Set of Books Ihall and may be ir.fpected and pe- rufed at any Time, at feafonable Hours, by or at the Requeft of any Peribn or Perfons rated or taxed, in purfuance of this Act, within fuch refpective Dirtrict, without Fee or Reward; and in cafe of any Dif- agreement between the faid Commiffioners and Land-owners of the faid refpective Diftricts, fo that a Plurality of Voices cannot be obtained for the paffing of fuch Account or Accounts, or any Part or Parts thereof that then fuch Account or Accounts, and the Matters in Difference relating thereto, {hall be heard and determined by any two of his Majelly's Juftices of the Peace for the faid I/I? of Ely or County oi Huntinfdon refpectively, who are hereby impowered and required to examine fuch Collectois or Re- ceivers upon Oath, if neceflary, and to hear and finally determine the Matters in Difference; and fuch of the faid Accounts as (hall be fo pafTed and allowed by the faid two Juftices, fhall be entered and regi- ftered, and infpected and perufed, in fuch Manner and Form as aforefaid. That the Commiflioners for the firfl Di- A Mill or MlHs flrift fhall, and they are hereby required to erect and place a Mill on the Forty Foot River, between Daw- t<» be piacerf at fon% Mill and Puddock's Drove ; and they are hereby required to erect and place two Mills at or near the ^^f 9,^""'.^ °* Openijig of the Drain cakd JJJ) Drain into the Forty Foot River, whether fuch Opening {hall remain p p^"^'"'* where it now is, or be made into any other Part of the faid Forty Foot River, or fhall be fufHcient for River. throwing out and difcharging the Waters from fuch Drain into the faid Forty Foot River, and from Time to Time, and at all Times hereafter, to fupport and maintain fuch Mills at fuch refpective Open- ing aforefaid ; and to caufe the fame to be worked in fuch Manner, and as often as fhall be neceffary for difcharging the Waters out of the faid Drain, and for preventing the Overflowing of the adjacent Lands ; and the faid Commiflioners, with the Confent or Allowance of the Corporation of Bedford Level, fhall y^^j, ©rain and from Time to Time raife, itrengthen and fupport, and keep imbanked, the Banks on both Sides the faid WiftowFen yff^ Drain, from the Forty Foot River to TVifhw Fen Drain; and alfo the Banks on both Sides any new Drain to be kept Gut which {hall be made from the faid Ajh Drain., near the prefent or any future Opening of the faid JJh open with Con- Drain into the Forty Foot River; and alfo the Bank on the Lands of Barnabas Brighty, from the Ea{i: ^^"' 9*^ '^^pT Bank of JJh Drain next IVifhw Fen, to Puddock's Drove; and alfo the Bank on the Hollovubead Lots, from ford L°evcK ^ * the Wefl Bank of the faid Jftj Drain next IVijhw and Bury Fen to a Highland Clofe of John Beard, cal- led A Hollowhead Lot ; and fhall fcour out and maintain the faid Jjh Drain fourteen Feet wide at the Top, ten Feet at the Bottom, and not lefs than five Feet deep, from the Surface of the adjacent Lands; and IViJlow Fen Drain, twelve Feet wide at Top, nine Feet at Bottom, and not lefs than four Feet deep from the Surface of the adjacent Lands ; and alfo fhall fcour out and maintain the Drain which divides the Pa- ri{hes oi Ramfcy and Bury, and the Drain called Bury Fen Drain, from the Lands called Willow-row, by the Adventurers Land of Jonathan Nichclls, through Bury Fen, to the Drain which divides the faid Parifhes of Ramfey and Bury, ten Feet wide at Top, eight Feet at the Bottom, and not lefs than four Feet deep from the Surface of the adjacent Lands; and that four Tunnels be fixed in the moll convenient Places, to be appointed by the Commiflioners of Bury, at the general Expencc of the firfl Diftrict, XXXL And be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That if the Bank, called Northey Bank, Northey Bank ftiall not, at any Time hereafter, be effectually repaired and maintained by the Corporation of the Great may be repaired. lycvel of the Fens, called Bedford Level, it fnall be lawful for the CommiiTioners for the faid firft Diftrict, with the Confent of the faid Corporation, from Time to Time, to heighten, ftrengthen and fupport the faid Bank, in fuch Manner as they fhall think proper; and to defray the Expence thereof out of the Taxes arifing within fuch Diftrict. XXXIL And be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaiJ, That the Commiflioners for the fourth RamfeyHern- to Diftrict (hall be, and are hereby impowered to imbank the faid Common called Ramfey Hern, in fuch be imbanked. Manner>as they fhall think proper, fo as fuch Bank be made within the Space of four Poles from the faid River Nene, and the Outring Dike next Draper's Delph.
