That in cafe any Adc of Parliament hath oafTed, or doth or (hall pafs, at any Time whatfo.ver, during this prefent Seffion of Parliament, Where the firft Meeting upon or after the Day fpccified in any fuch Aft, for the firft Meeting of the CommifTioners or Tru- of Commifiioners or ■ Itees appointed to put the fame, or any Part thereof, in Execution, in each and every fuch Cafe, J"^'|^"^j'^^|^' ^^^^^^^^^^" fiich Commifiioners or Truftees refpectively, or the fame Number of fuch refpeftive Commifiioners the°Day the Aas^p-" or Truftees, as is or fliall be authorized to hold fuch firft iVIeeting, or any greater Number of them, pointins- the fame /hall {ball and may hold their firft Meeting upon the fourteenth Day after the palling of this Aft, at fuch havepaHed, Places as were refpeftively appointed in fuch Afts for holding the firft Meetings on the Days therein fuch Meeting is to be fpecified ; and all fuch Commifiioners or Truftees, or any Number of them as aforefaid, being fo held on the 14th Day afiembled refpeftively on the fiid fourteenth Day after the pafTmg of this Aft, {hall and may proceed ^"r the paffwg of this to the Execution of fuch Afts refpeftively; and then, and from time to time afterwards, adjourn, ' and do and perform all fuch Matters and Things, and execute all the Powers and Authorities granted to them in the faid Afts refpeftively, in the fame Manner, and as fully and efFeftually to all Intents and Purpofes, as if fuch Commifiioners or Truftees had been afTembled in Purfuance of, and on the refpeftive Days fpecified or appointed in fuch Afts, for holding the firft Meeting of fuch Commifiioners or Truftees ; any thing therein contained to the contrary notwithftanding. ' II. And whereas feveral Afts of Parliament have been made for amending and keeping in Repair
- divers Roads in Great Britain : And whereas it may have happened that a fufficient Number of the
- Truftees or Commifiioners for putting fuch refpeftive Adts in Execution, have neglefted to meet
' at fuch Times and Places, as were appointed or direfted in purfuance of the faid feveral Afts,
- and that Adjournments may not have been made to meet at any future Time : And whereas the
- Clerks or other Officers to the faid Truftees or Commifiioners, when proper Adjournments have
- not been made, may have negledied, or omitted to give fuch proper Notices, as the faid refpeftive
' Afts have required to be made or given, of the next Meeting of the faid Truftees or CommifTion*
- ers, notwithftanding which Neglefts or OmifTions, the faid Truftees or Commiffioners, have met
- ■ and proceeded to put in Execution the faid feveral Afts aforefaid : And whereas Doubts have arifen,
' or may arife, with regard to the Validity of the Proceedings of the faid Truftees or CommifTioners, ' who have met and afted in the Execution of the faid feveral Afts, notwithftanding fuch OmifTions ,. ' or Neglefts had happened :' For obviating whereof; Be it further enafted by the Authority afore- ' faid.
