' II. And whereas feveral Afts of Parliament have been made for amending and keeping in Repair

  • divers Roads in Great Britain : And whereas it may have happened that a fufficient Number of the
  • Truftees or Commifiioners for putting fuch refpeftive Adts in Execution, have neglefted to meet

' at fuch Times and Places, as were appointed or direfted in purfuance of the faid feveral Afts,

  • and that Adjournments may not have been made to meet at any future Time : And whereas the
  • Clerks or other Officers to the faid Truftees or Commifiioners, when proper Adjournments have
  • not been made, may have negledied, or omitted to give fuch proper Notices, as the faid refpeftive

  • ers, notwithftanding which Neglefts or OmifTions, the faid Truftees or Commiffioners, have met
  • ■ and proceeded to put in Execution the faid feveral Afts aforefaid : And whereas Doubts have arifen,

' or may arife, with regard to the Validity of the Proceedings of the faid Truftees or CommifTioners, ' who have met and afted in the Execution of the faid feveral Afts, notwithftanding fuch OmifTions ,.
