An Aci to prohibit^ for a Ti?ne to be Uniited^ the Exportation of Corn, Malt, Meal, Fino-y -/, Bfciiit ayid Starch,' It was enaded, That no Perfon or Perfons whatfoever, at any Time or Times before the twenty-fifth Day oi December one thoufand feven hundred and fifty- feven, fhould directly or indirectly export, tranfport, carry or convey, or caufe or procure to be exported, tranfported, carried or conveyed, out of or from Great Britain or Ireland, or load or lay on board,, or caufe or procure to be laden or laid on board, in any Ship or other Vefiel or Boat, in order to be exported or carried out of the faid Kingdoms oi Great Britain or Ireland, any Sort of Corn, Meal, Malt, Flour, Bread, Bifcuit or Starch, under the Penalties therein mentioned ; and wherein is con- tained a Provifo, That the faid A£t or any Thing therein contained, fhould not extend to any of, the faid Commodities which fhould be exported, or fhipped to be exported, out of or from Great Britain to Ireland, or from Ireland to Great Britain, or from Great Britain or Ireland to Gibraltar ,. or unto any of his Majefty's Iflands or Colonies in America, that have ufually been fupplied with any of the faid Commodities ivom Great Britain or Ireland, for the Suftentation of the Inhabitants., of the faid Iflands, Colonies or Dominions, or for the Benefit of the i?r////7; Fifhery in thofe Parts only, under fuch Reftri(5tions, and fubje6t: to fuch Forfeitures and Penalties, as are therein mentioned j. and alfo another Provifo, That the faid Adt or any Thing therein contained, fhould not extend to any Wheat, Malt or Barley, to be tranfported out of or from the Port of <!?i7«j'/;>^//2^/5;2 only, unto the Iflands of y^/y^j and Guernfey, or either of them, for the only Uie of the Inhabitants of thofe Iflands, fo as the Exporter complied with the Requifites therein mentioned, and fo as the Qiiantity of Wheat, Malt and Barley, which at any Time or Times after the pafling of the faid A<5t, and be- fore the twenty-fifth Day oi December one thoufand kvcn hundred and fifty-feven, fliould be fliip-- ped at the faid Port for jerfey and Guernfey, or either of them as aforefaid, did not exceed in the- whole five thoufand Quarters J and alfo another Provifo, That nothing in the faid Ad: contained,, fhould extend to any Malt declared or made for Exportation on or before the fourth Day of Decern- her one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-fix, which fliould be exported, provided the Requifites therein mentioned, were complied with by the Proprietor or Proprietors thereof: And whereas the, faid A<5t was, by an AcSt of Parliament made in this prefent Seffion of Parliament, further continued, from the Expiration thereof, until the twenty-fourth Day of £)^r(?;/2/'rr one thoufand feven hundred" and fifty-eight; and in which faid lafl-mentioned A6t is contained a Provifo, That during the Con- r.muance of fuch A(ft, the Bounty or Bounties granted by any Law upon the Exportation of any of the Commodities therein before-mentioned, fhould not be allowed or paid to any Perfon upon the.- Exportation thereof out of this Kingdom, to any Place whatfoever, or by whatfoever Authority, the lame may be exported : And whereas certain Quantities of Barley were making into Malt and de- tlarcd for Exportation, by or on the Behalf of the Merchants oi Norwich and Yarmouth, before or about the Time of the paffing of the faid firfl-mentioncd Ait; and fuch Malt was adtually made before the End offanuary one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-feven; and the fame Malt is nowly- 'jig in his Majefty's Storehoufes under the Care of the proper Officers of Excife : And whereas the the faid Malt is not fit for Home Confumption, but was manufactured for the Holland Market; and. the faid Merchants have not been able, by reafon of the A£t paflcd in this SefTion for continuing the faid former Act, to export the faid Malt within the Time limited by an Act for granting a Duty: upon Malt; Be it therefore enacted by the King's moft Excellent A'lajefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament af- Mtrchanti of Norwich fcmbled, and by the Authority of the fame.
