- VIII. And whereas fome Perfons have omitted to caufe Affidavits to be made, and afterwards

That every Perfon v»^ho hath negle£ted or omitted to caufe any fuch Affidavit of Afficla- ,^J^gP^•J^^j^g^^,^^y"^J vits as aforefaid to be made and filed, and who on or before the firft Day of September one thoufand ©f the Execution of Con- feven hundred and fifty-nine, fliall caufe one or more Affidavit or Affidavits to be made, and after- trafts to ferve as Clerk* wards to be filed, in fiich Manner as the fame ought to have been made and filed, in due Time, to Attornies, &c. ftiall be and is hereby indemnified, freed and difcharged from and againft all Penalties, Forfeitures, Incapacities and Difabilities, in or by any A61 or A61s of Parliament mentioned and incurred, or to be incurred, for or by reafon of any fuch Negle£t or Omiffion, in not caufing fuch Affidavit or Affi- davits to be made and filed, in fuch Manner as the fame ought to have been; and every fuch Affi- davit and Affidavits fo to be made, and which fhall be duly filed, on or before the faid firft Day of September one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-nine as aforefaid, fliall be as efi'eitual to all Intents and Purpofes, as if made and filed within the refpeftive Times the fame ought, by the Laws now in Being for that Purpofe, to have been fo made and filed. An A(5t to amend an A(5l made in the laft SefTion of Parliament, for repealing the Duty granted by an A6t made in the fixth Year of the Reign of his Jate Majefty on Silver Plate, and for granting a Duty on Licences to be taken out by all Perfons dealing in Gold or Silver Plate, by permitting the Sale of Gold or Silver Plate in fmall Quanti- : tities without Licence i and by granting a Duty inftead of the Duty nov/ payable upon Licences to be taken out by certain Dealers in Gold or Silver Plate ; and alio a Duty upon Licences to be taken out by Pawnbrokers dealing in Gold or Silver Plate, and Refiners of Gold or Silver. W HERE AS by an A<St made in the laft Seffion of Parliament, intituled, An Ad for r^- Pream We, r«fkli;g pealing the Duty granted by an ASi made in the fixth Year of the Reign of his late Majejly^ on Claufe in Aft 31 Geo. sj"? the Marking or Stamping of Gold or Silver Plate; it was enailed. That in lieu of the Duty thereby c. 15. i& g/V. 3. c,i. ' repealed, there fliould, from and after the fifth Day of July one thoufand feven hundred and fifty- ' . - fens employed to fell any Gold or Silver Plate, or an.y fuch Goods or Wares aforefaid, at any
- Au£lion or Publick Sale, or by Commiffion, fliould refpedively be deemed Traders In, Sellers or
' Venders of Gold or Silver Plate, within the Intent and Meaning of the faid A6t, and Ihouid take out a Licence for the fame: And whereas fo much of the faid laft recited Claufe, as direilis that
- every Perfon trading in, felling or vending Gold or Silver Plate, or any Goods or Wares compofed
- of Gold or Silver, or any Goods or Wares in which any Gold or Silver was or fhould be ma-
permitted to trade in, fell or vend any Goods or Wares in which the Gold or Silver fliall not ex-
