90 LAWS OF THE STANNARIES 2*^^^ enacted that all black tin shall be received^ '^ and white tin delivered ouf by averdupois weight, containing one hundred and twelve pounds to the hundred, and so in proportion for a greater or lesser quantity than a hun- dred, and by no other weight ; and that an allowance of three pounds per hundred and no more, and so in proportion for a greater or lesser quantity, shall be made for the turn of the scale upon weighing of black tin and white tin respectively at the smelting-house, or blowing-house. And be it further enacted that weights of a half hundred, and a quarter of a hundred, fourteen pounds, seven pounds, fovir pounds, two pounds, one pound, half a pound, and quarter of a pound, made of brass, and of the Tower standard, shall be kept at every smelting-house and blowing-house, to which brass weights the tinners and others concerned in bring thither black tin, or re- ceiving from thence white tin, shall have recourse whenever they think proper, in . order therewith to compare, and thereby to prove the smelting-house or blowing-house Kogieaierorka wcights. And be it hereby further declared iin^htttobe ^jjj enacted, that if any tin-smelter, tin- blower, principal agent, or manager at any of the smelting-houses or blowing^houses, shall receive black tin, or deliver white tin by any^greater or less weights than )vhat are .before mentioned, with the aforesaid allow- xtnce of three pounds per hundred and no more, in such case upon due proof made thereof, every such offender shall forfeit the sum of one hundred pounds, to be recovered by plaint or information in the court of the Stannary wherein the offence was committed^ one
