PRINCE LEOPOLD GEORGE DUNCAN ALBERT, Duke of Albany, Earl of Clarence and Baron Arkiow, Duke of Saxony and Prince of Saxe Ooburg and Gotha, K.G., K.T., G.C.S.I., G.C.M.G., P.C.; matriculated at Oxford University 1872, D.C.I. 1876, P.C. 1874; Master of the Trinity House, 18, Provincial Grand Master Freemasons, Oxford shire, 1876, a Bencher of Lincolns Inn 1877, President of the Royal Society of Literature; b. 7 April, 1853; baptized at Buckingham Palace.

Creation—By letters patent under the Great Seat, 24 May, 1881.

Arms—The royal arms, differenced by a label of three points arg. charged with St. George's cross, between two hearts gu.; on an inescutcheon the arms of Saxony.

Crest—On a coronet a lion guardant or, crowned with a coronet, differenced as the arms.

Supporters—The royal supporters crowned and differenced as in the crest.

Residence—Buckingham Palace, S.W.

Seat—Boyton Manor, Codford, Wilts.
