Hickey, a major, United States Marine Corps, retired, the sum of $1,587.25 in full satisfaction of all his claims against the United States for the loss of certain of his personal property on September 1, 1923, in the earthquake and fire at Kamakura, Japan, while serving as an assistant attache of the American Embassy at Tokyo, Japan.
