To direct the Secretary of the Interior to adjudicate a claim to certain land in Marengo County, Alabama.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior is directed to adjudicate the claim of B. A. Cogle of Thomasville, Alabama, mider the Color of Title Act of Deceml^r 22, 1928 (45 Stat. 1069), as amended by the Act of July 28, 1953 (67 Stat. 227; 43 U.S.C. 1068-1068b), to the lands described in section 2 of this Act. If the Secretary shall determine that the said B. A. Cogle has otherwise satisfied the requirements of the Color of Title Act, he may issue a patent under such Act to such lands without regard to the acreage limitation imposed in such Act. SEC. 2. The lands subject to this Act are the following-described tracts of land all situated in Marengo County, Alabama, and described with respect to St. Stephens meridian: (1) the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter and the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of section 3, township 13 north, range 2 east; (2) the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of section 26, township 13 north, range 3 east; (3) the south half of the southeast quarter of section 35, township 13 north, range 3 east; and (4) the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of section 19, township 14 north, range 2 east. AN ACT For the relief of Hubert J. Kupper.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Hubert J. Kupper, United States Marine Corps (retired), of East Brunswick, New Jersey, is hereby relieved of all liability for repayment to the United States of the sum of $5,052.83, representing the amount of overpayments of retired pay received by the said Hubert J. Kupper for the period from July 1, 1955, through July 31, 1965, as a result of administrative error in the computation of his retired pay. In the audit and settlement of the accounts of any certifying or disbursing officer of the United States, full credit shall be given for the amount for which liability is relieved by this Act. SEC. 2. The Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the said Hubert J. Kupper, the sum of any amounts received or withheld from him on account of the overpayments referred to in the first section of this Act. No part of the amount appropriated in this Act shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved September 20, 1966.
