MARRIOT (JOHN), bookseller in London; [White] Flower de Luce, Fleet Street [St. Dunstan's Churchyard], 1616-57. Published the works of Breton, Donne, Drayton, Massinger, Quarles, and Wither. His son, Richard Marriot, q.v. was for some time in partnership with him, and eventually succeeded to the business.
