MARRIOT (RICHARD), bookseller in London; Under St. Dunstan's Church in Fleet Street [White Flower de Luce], 1645-79. In partnership with his father, John Marriot, q.v., for some years. On May 3rd, 1651, his father assigned over to him a large number of copyrights. Amongst his most noted publications was the first edition of Isaak Walton's Complete Angler, 1653, printed for him by T. Maxey.
