Queen's Coll., matric. 7 March, 1743-4, aged 17; created D.C.L. 11 May, 1771, then of Downing aforesaid, zoologist and traveller, F.A.S. 1759-60, F.R.S. 1767, sheriff North Wales 1761, died 16 Dec., 1798, father of David 1781, and of the next named.
