David Henderson
(1862–1921)

Senior leader of British military aviation during World War I, having previously been the leading authority on tactical intelligence in the British Army; commander of the Royal Flying Corps in the field and instrumental in establishing the Royal Air Force as an independent service; first Director-General of the League of Red Cross Societies.
