Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Postposing the Time for Convening the Third Session of the Thirteenth National Congress

(Adopted at the 16th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Thirteenth National People's Congress on February 24, 2020)

At its 15th Meeting on December 28, 2019, the Standing Committee of the Thirteenth National People's Congress decided that the Third Session of the Thirteenth National Congress was to be convened on March 5, 2020. However, considering a recent major outbreak of the novel coronavirus epidemic, to implement the arrangements made by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on coordinating control of novel coronavirus outbreak and economic and social development, and to continue the efforts to win the battle against the epidemic and protect people's lives, health and safety, the Standing Committee of the Thirteenth National People's Congress has decided as follows at its 16th Meeting:

The Third Session of the Thirteenth National People's Congress is postponed and the specific opening time will be decided by the Standing Committee of the National People' s Congress as it deems appropriate.
