The provisions of the Executive order of January 17, 1873, prohibiting Federal employees from holding office under any State, Territorial, or municipal government are hereby waived to permit Sylvester P. Bartlett, a field superintendent in the Bureau of Fisheries, to hold the position of secretary to the Illinois State Fish Commission, in view of the mutual advantages thereby secured to the State commission and the Bureau of Fisheries.
