Thayer's Lexicon contains entries beyond those accounted in Strong's numeration. It will not be possible to cross-reference entries here purely by use of Strong's numbering. If Strong's numbering is supported here (a "must have" ?) it must be in addition to our native cross-referencing.
An example is entry "ἀγαθουργέω" - not in Strong's - which fits between G18 "ἀγαθός" and G19 "ἀγαθωσύνη".
Additionally, internal links are needed between entries.
An example would be
- ἀνα-σκευάζω; (σκευάζω, fr. σκεῦος a vessel, utensil);
where
- "ἀνασκευάζω" is G384, which mentions
- "σκευάζω", which has no entry, but
- "σκεῦος" does have entry G4632
How the heck do we know what are valid links? Later in entry is " ψυχάς" which is 'associated' with "ψυχή" G5590, so we need to know all the inflected forms?!!?
Is "σκευάζω" neither an entry nor an inflected form, because it is (according to Wikt) a derived term?
Letter-spacing is used fairly frequently, and it simply is not believable for it to just be a typesetting / justification thing. For instance in page 55 there is
- "... the signif. effulgence or radiance (as distinguished from refulgence or reflection) ..."
where specific parts of two different words are contrasted. More often we see two whole words contrasted. It really appears that all instances of letter-spacing need to be reproduced.
Hmm, so 91 pages done after about 48 days... about 2 pages per day. Hmm, and 683 pages of lexicon... 10 months more? Ouch.
