Long S edit

Please replace long "s" (looks like an "f", and OCR often reads it as "f") with regular character "s" for readability. Outlier59 (talk) 23:43, 30 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

OCR edit

As a warning for proofreaders: the OCR is not very good on this book. For example, "ivifdom of thefe conftitutions" (wisdom of these constitutions), "ijuifdojn of this 'world in other refpedls" (wisdom of this world in other respects), "objedl" (object), "eflential" (essential), "charadlers" (characters), "aify" (ally), "refpedls" (respects), "fubjedl" (subject), and -- one of the worst, because it can seem to make sense -- "confident" (consistent). The linked c-t often reads "dl"; the long "s" is being read as j, i, f, etc. Outlier59 (talk) 22:33, 1 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Plain text version edit

I discovered a plain text version of this essay at Liberty Fund[1] when checking the Greek on page 123. That saved time fixing the OCR (the LF version has very few errors) and proofreading for pages 123 onwards. Pages prior to 123 have not been checked against the LF version.
