I am not proposing anything. I am just advocating that we should do things in one way only, when there are dots and spaces. See [1] vs [2]; " . . . " vs "...".--Mpaa (talk) 20:26, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

It is DP standard to use the elipsis character—this prevents the dots being separated by wrapping.Zoeannl (talk) 06:01, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

This is now avoided (where the template is used) by wrapping the dots in white-space:nowrap; see {{...}}. That said, I always use the … character because I think it makes more semantic sense. I have been directed here after seeing use of Template:... and questioning its use. The style guide says that we should use the real character, so if it is an ellipsis in use, can anyone say why we should not use the specific character? I am not against variation for a demonstrable purpose, I just believe that it needs to be demonstrable. — billinghurst sDrewth 04:42, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

I'm with you: there needs to be some clarity around this. My slight understanding at the moment is that there's a difference between an ellipsis (which equals omission) and three or more dots (which mean "hesitation" or something, but not omission). Size of running header?

I notice that sometimes it's {{larger|{{rh|134|Hunger|}}}} and sometimes just {{rh|134|Hunger|}}. Which should it be? — Sam Wilson ( Talk • Contribs ) … 06:23, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

I would opt for {{rh|134|Hunger|}}. Less formatting for something valid only in Page ns.— Mpaa (talk) 19:17, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
