All of the layout decisions for this work come from its original source at PG with the exception of:

• blocks of smaller text in the Preface, which in the PG version were set with a 2em left margin, have been amended to use {{quote}}.

Other notes

• There are some inconsistencies in line-spacing that need sorting out—this is more in Part 2, but both Parts are affected;
• Some of the page numbers in the Index (last 30 or so pages of Part 2) are not pointing to the right Chapter. The best way to detect these is to find the blue links in the Page: namespace. Anything blue is not correct;
• The two pages of errata at the end of Part 2 need proofreading and then noting in the notes field on the mainspace: chapters;
• The table of localities at the end of the Preface has a year missing in the middle—I've left the pages marked as NotProofread.
