Poetic format edit

The poetic format on the plays in this book, and especially the alignment of passages across page breaks, in highly inconsistent. The typesetter seems to have aligned pages with shorter lines nearer to the center of the page, and longer lines further to the left, without regard for the overall alignment. This is not unusual for a printed book, certainly one printed in Victorian England.

Were the precise formatting of the original meticulously and slavishly copied, the resulting passages would meander drunkenly into the margins. Thus, in some situations, the relative alignment, in this electronic copy, of passages across pages will not match with the original. However, the shifts will not be noticeable to readers unless a studious comparison is make against the original pages. --EncycloPetey (talk) 03:08, 25 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
