Sidenotes

edit

What are we going to do for the sidenotes? I've been using the {{sidenotes begin}} template set (like this), but is something more desirable or efficient? Thanks, Cremastra (talk) 20:48, 3 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

That's probably the best way to handle the sidenotes. --EncycloPetey (talk) 22:26, 3 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
A note here for documentation, {{sidenotes begin}} also works great for getting scores to float properly alongside using {{FreedImg}} BrandenJames (talk) 05:07, 6 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Other scans that can be used for problematic bits

edit

The first scan I found is a bit higher quality, but I didn't use it because it was missing some pages. Regardless, it can be used to get illustrations and a couple of bits that I saw were cut off. Arcorann (talk) 09:45, 16 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Vertical text in figure labels

edit

This text contains a couple pages which use vertical labels for figures that are written bottom to top, for example: Page 30. I tested around a bit with various means to replicate this, and it seems the only reliable way, using the sideways-lr CSS attribute, is not supported on most browsers currently. Due to this, I plan to instead list the figure labels under the figures left to right with explanatory text for now. Whenever sideways-lr is supported on the major browsers, it would be worth seeing if this can be updated using it to better reflect the source text. BrandenJames (talk) 04:56, 13 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
