Sidenotes

In the original text, both line numbers (referring to the lines of the original text) and choral notations appear in the margins as sidenotes. Both sets of notes appear towards the outer margin, alternating between the left and right side of the page, and sometimes having to appear together on the same line.

Rather than use a complicated system of templates to alternate location of these sidenotes:

• All line numbers in the Wikisource copy should appear at the right using {{Right sidenote|100}}.

  These line numbers should be positioned within the text at the end of the appropriate phrase or sentence to match the original Greek text, and not necessarily following the final right-hand word of the line on the page where they appear in the translation. In order to make these line numbers display in the Page namespace, each page header should contain {{Sidenotes begin}} and each footer {{Sidenotes end}}.

• All choral notations in the Wikisource copy should float at the left using {{fqm|''str''. 1.  |depth=4em}}.

  These notations should be positioned at the front of the corresponding line of text. The " " provide spacing between the notation and the text. The depth parameter prevents unwanted wrapping of the notation text.
