Notes:

  • Wikisource has an unsourced edition at Uncle Tom's Cabin
  • While this can be used as a source instead of OCR, check carefully for differences. There are several differences around punctuation etc.
  • It appears the unsourced text originates from Gutenberg. While the copy at PG doesn't credit a particular edition (not uncommon for early Gutenberg works) it's quite possibly an English edition as per subtle changes such as: fellow (source) / feller (this edition). Illuminated initials edit

Is it decided that the illuminated initials at he start of early chapter will not be included as part of transcription? --EncycloPetey (talk) 03:40, 25 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

I wouldn't say it's decided. I understood they were optional at WS, and at surface level I didn't think they added much value. If there is a preference I can put them in at some point; or someone else is of course free to, as always? Nickw25 (talk) 09:57, 26 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
