Defaults push hard in empty fields edit

I have noticed, and think that it is a new behaviour (of which I may be deluding myself) in that when a default value is set in a field in this file, that when an Index: page is saved that fields that are left empty collect the default field. When the field is again edited and emptied, it will still be applied. In a number of fields this is not a problem, as we always fill the field, though for something like the footer field this is problematic where one may wish to have that empty rather than populated with <reference /> or whatever. Anyway, this is to explain why I removed the default value for the footer field. — billinghurst sDrewth 05:29, 9 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

{{editprotected}} Just saw this typo in Progress > Help: it currently says "witin the Page namespace", and should be "within the Page namespace". --YodinT 12:58, 17 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Yodin:   Done Thanks for the headsup. --Xover (talk) 15:58, 17 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
