Bristowe, Henry Fox, Q.C., vice-chancellor of county palatine of Lancaster since 1881, a student of the Middle Temple 15 April, 1842, called to the bar 11 June, 1847, Q.C. 23 June, 1869, bencher 27 Jan., 1870 (2nd son of Samuel Ellis Bristowe, Esq., of Beesthorpe, Notts); born 8 May, 1824; married 2 April, 1850, Selina, dau. of Hon. Orlando Henry Bridgeman, and has issue (see Foster's Peerage, E. Bradford).
