Glamorgan and Brecon, educated at Rugby, author of Church Pews, their Origin and Legal Incidents, Collieries and Colliers and the Law thereon, a student of the Inner Temple 12 Nov., 1836 (then aged 21), called to the bar 31 Jan., 1840 (2nd son of William Tancred Fowler, of Derby, surgeon); born 16 Sept., 1815; married 1st, 17 Aug., 1844, Augusta Maria, youngest dau. of late John Bacon, Esq., of Mount Radford, Exeter; she died , ; he married 2ndly, 26 Aug., 1850, Anna, 2nd surviving dau. of late Evan Thomas, Esq., of Llwyn Madoc, Breconshire.
