Hildyard, John Richard Westgarth, M.A., (fellow) Trin. Hall, Camb., 1839, assumed the surname of Hildyard in lieu of his patronymic by royal licence 19 June, 1855, J.P., D.L. co. Durham, high sheriff 1863, J.P. and chairman of quarter sessions Yorks, n.r., a governor of Christ's Hospital, a student of the Inner Temple 27 April, 1836 (then aged 22), called to the bar 3 May, 1839 (3rd son of Henry Hale, late of Guisborough, Yorks, dec.); born 17 June, 1813; married 21 Aug., 1860, Mary Blanche, eldest dau. of late Sir Richard Digby Neave, Bart., and has issue (see Foster's Baronetage).
