Note: The grounds for promulgation of this Act are as follows: After the issuance of the Order of the Council for Democratic Reform No 5/2549 dated the 20th day of September 2549 Buddhist Era, Re: Ordering the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology to control the dissemination of information through information and communications technology systems, which, in essence, requires the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology to control, suppress, prevent, and destroy the dissemination of information through all information and communications networks, the situations in general have now improved and the Act on Offences Relating to Computer, 2550 BE has also been put into operation, making it appropriate to repeal this Announcement in order to allow the dissemination of information through information systems to be governed by the mentioned Act and in order to reduce redundancy of laws. It is therefore necessary to enact this Act.
