The proposed marking for this route would begin in Kanab, Utah at the junction of present U. S. Route 89 and extend easterly over Utah Route Route 259 a distance of approximately 64 miles to the Arizona State line north of Glen Canyon Dam.

(Arizona Section)

This routing will follow a recently constructed high type highway from present U. S. 89 at Bitter Springs northerly, crossing the Colorado River at the new Glen Canyon Bridge, thence continuing northwesterly to the Arizona-Utah State line, a distance of approximately 34 miles.

This routing will follow former U. 8. Route 89 from Bitter Springs via Marble Canyon, Jacob Lake and Fredonia to the Arizona-Utah State line north of Fredonia.

This routing which is through a complete new area between U. S. Route 40, 23 miles west of Lovelock and Fallon, is 32.8 miles in length and extends practically due south from the above mentioned junction with U.S. 40 to Fallon.

Alternate U. S. Route
This routing will follow former U. S. Route 95 and present U. S. Route 40 from a point 23 miles west of Lovelock southwesterly via Hot Springs to Fernley Junction. Thence in a southeasterly direction via Hasen to Fallon (present U. S. Route 95), a distance of approximately 61.4 miles.
