Zar. 60b להטפיח ע״ב טופח Ms. M. (ed. להט׳ ט׳). Toh. VIII, 9; a. fr. -- 2) (cmp. דאב, דוי) to melt, decay, ferment (of a running and fermenting dough). B. I, 3b bot. וכ׳ דיטפי בעיין אילין they (the children) desire that the lamp grow dim (so that they need not study, and therefore will not snuf it). Lev.
