Concerning the Notes.

I have added ſome Notes to this Work, according to my idle Cuſtom of doing Things by Fits. Theſe Notes ſometimes ramble too far from the Subject to be read with the Text. I have therefore thrown them all together at the Concluſion of the Diſcourſe itſelf, in which I have done my beſt Endeavours to travel by the ſtraiteſt Road. Thoſe who may have Courage enough to peruſe it a ſecond time, may then amuſe themſelves by beating the Buſhes, and endeavour to run over the Notes; it is no great Matter if others give themſelves no manner of Trouble about them.
