Preston, Esq., of Morely-hall, York- shire, and has issue, living, Daughter, Kathleen Mary Alexina, b. 1872. Brothers living, Hamilton John Agmondesham, heir presumptive, b. 1848 ; was educated at Radley School, and at Trinity College, Cambridge, (B.A. 1868). Sister living, Alice Mary, b. 1844, m. 1864, the 5th Baron Henniker. Strnts, Arg-ent : a bend dancette, sable, plain cottised, azure, on the bend three fleurs- de-lis of the field, and on each cottise as many bezants. Crest, A dexter cubit arm, erect, vested, or, cuffed, ermine, and charged with two bends wavy, azure, the hand proper, holding a battle-axe, or, handle, azure. .Supporters Two leopards reguardant, proper, each gorged with a collar dancette, and chained, sable, the collars charged with three fleurs-de- .lis, argent. DESABT, Earl of, His lordship's predecessor was his father, Otway O'Connor, 3rd Earl of Desart, who was*. Oct. 12, 1818; and succeeded his father, Nov. 22, 18-20 : he was M.P. for Ipswich in 1842; Under Secretary for the Colonies in 1852; and was a Representative Peer of Ireland ; his lordship m. June 28, 1842, Elizabeth Lucy, daughter of the 1st Earl of Cawdor : and d. April 1, 186s, having issue, three sons and a daughter. DESART, Dowager Countess of, ELIZABETH LUCY, daughter of the 1st Earl ot Cawdor ; was for many years Bedchamber Woman to the Queen ; m. 1842, the 3rd Earl of Desart, who d. 1865.
