RIPON, Marquess of, His lordship's predecessor in the Earldom of Ripon was his lather, Frederick John Robinson, who was b. 1782 ; was a prominent politician and statesman, and lor a sh^rttime,in 1828, was Premier. In 1833, he was created Earl of Ripou, having previously (1827) been created Viscount Goderich : TO. Sept. 1st, 1814, Sarah Albinia Louisa, only daughter and eventually co-heir of Robert, 4th Erl of Buckinghamshire (she d. IbG/) ; and d. 1786, having had issue a son and a daughter. His lordship's predecessor in the Earldom of De Grey was his uncle, Thomas Philip, K.G. 2nd Earl de Grey and 3rd Baron Grantham. He was b.
