ABINGDON, Earl of, His lordship's predecessor was his father, Montague, D.C.L. 5th Earl of Abingdon. He was b. April :10, 1/84, and succeeded his father, Sept. 26, 1799; was Lord Lieut, of Berkshire, and High Steward of Abingdon; and officiated as cup - bearer at the coronation of George IV. : m. 1st, Aug. 27, 1807, Emily, daughter of Gen. the Hon. Thomas Gage, (she d. 1838), and by her had issue five sons and three daughters ; 2ndly, Feb. il, 1 841 . Lady Frederica Augusta Kerr, daughter of the late Countess of Antrim ; and d. Oct. 16, 1854, without issue from his second marriage. Her ladyship survived him ten years.
