Still at Cheyenne, held up on account of floods. Cold and partly cloudy. Cheyenne paper reports 64 as maximum temperature, 45 minimum. Clear part of day. Left Cheyenne at 2 p.m., crossed Trias and Carboniferous at 2:45 and entered granite. Formations very irregular in strike and dip but mostly strike E-W and dip possibly northerly.
