Ritter, and passed by him to John R . Townsend, chairman of the board of trustees. In the afternoon, the ceremony o f dedication w as conducted by Hon. Henry L . Palm er, 3 3 °, M. P . Sovereign Grand Com mander of the Supreme Council, N . M . J ., assisted by Jam es Isaac Buchanan, 33®, Dep uty for Pennsylvania, and the officers of the Supreme Council. The reception on Tuesday evening was at tended by about fifteen hundred people, in cluding members of the Consistory and of other Masonic bodies, and their wives. The ^ c s t s were received by the officers of the Supreme Council, and the officers of the Con sistory. Each lady w as presented a souvenir in the shape o f a hatpin, the head being a triangle with the figures 32 in the center. A concert w as given by Charles P. Elw ell’s orchestra o f twelve pieces in the auditorium. Following this, Caldwell Choir rendered an e x cellent vocal program for a h alf hour. During the early part of the evening refreshments were served in the banquet hall. A t 9 :3 0 the banquet hall was utilized as a ballroom, and lovers of the dance enjoyed themselves until after midnight. W ednesday and Thursday were occupied with Masonic work, a large number 01 candidates being advanced to the thirty-second d ^ rc e . The celebration ended with a banquet in the banquet hall in (he evening, at which H . A . M cKillip, 33®, pre sided as toastmaster. Provision w as made for 550 guests. Tlteta Castle, N o. 276, Knights of the Golden Eagle, is one of the most prominent lodges o f Bloomsburg. It has a large mem bership, and a considerable fund invested. One o f its features is the commandery, a handsomely uniformed and well drilled body o f young men, whose maneuvers have elicited great applause wherever they have appeared.
