A little boy with long curly hair leans on the sill of an arched window, with a pipe in his right hand, and a mussel-shell in his left. He is richly dressed and wears a cap with blue and orange feathers. " This exquisite bijou of art is unique for its tasteful drawing, purity of colour and exquisite finishing " (Sm.).
