He stands on the left, turned to the right, near the bust, which is placed with other sculptures on a table to the right. He holds up a candle in his right hand to throw light on the bust, and examines it with a smile. He rests his left hand on the table. In the immediate right foreground is a blue curtain ; to the left is a metal candlestick. Possibly a representation of Pygmalion. Panel, "] inches by 12 inches.
