In 1785, Mr. Thicknesse published "A letter to the Earl of Coventry," 8vo, and in that year commenced his correspondence with Mr. Urban, under the signature of " Polyxena/* which he continued under that of "A Wanderer," his own initials, and other designations, till nearly the day of his death.
