Cutler, Mrs. Helen (Conant Tracy), 1815-. An American Woman. An Amer- ican physician; in 1834, married Kev J. M. Tracy, and was matron of the Deaf Mute Asylum in Ohio ; went to Europe and was European correspondent of the "Ohio Statesman," 1851; lectured in London on Woman's Rights; married Samuel Cutler and settled in Illinois, 1852; graduated at the "Woman's Med. Coll., Cleveland, , 1869 ; visited Europe, again, 1873-75; and on her return home settled in Cobden, 111., where she prac- tises her profession.

Cutler, Jervase, 1768-1844. A Late Officer in the U S. Army. An American pioneer; b. in Hamilton, 0. In 1788, at the early age of 19, he was one of the little band of 48 who emigrated from Massachusetts, under Gen. Rufus Put- nam, and pitched their tents at Marietta, 0., in the very centre of the Indian bat- tle-grounds of that day ; d. at Evansville, Ind.
