For this edition, to insure accuracy, uncommon care was taken, by collating and correcting the proofs by the original Statutes at Washington, and by an act of Congress, the volumes are made competent evidence of the laws contained in them. Those acts which have been judicially construed, are furnished with notes of the decisions, which, together with the marginal abstracts and references, add very much to the value of this edition of the Laws.
