Sir Thomas Wyse (1791-1862), politician and diplomatist. After nine years at Stony- hurst entered Trinity College, Dublin. With Richard Lalor Sheil, Wyse stood for co. Waterford, but resigned in favour of O'Con- nell. Voted for the 1832 Reform Bill, aboli- tion of slavery, repeal of the Corn Laws, and an extension of popular education. Married, March, 1821, Lsetitia, daughter of Lucien Bonaparte ('D.N.B.,' vol. Ixiii.).
