This character is read also paP, in the word 大伯子 ta pai^ tzu, title given to a man by his younger brother's wife. 叔 shu- read here shou-, as the peasants do. One's father's younger brother. TRANSLATION Beating the sieve sift ! ― shaking the sieve sift ! ― when the wheat is ripe, we will invite your uncle ― your elder uncle likes to eat meat ― your younger uncle likes to eat beans.
