Authority aforefaid, That it {hall and may be lawful to and for the Commiffioners of the Treafury,. or any three or more of- them, or the High Treafurer of Great Britain for the Time being, to ifTue their refpective Warrant or Warrants to the proper Officers in the Receipt of the Exchequer, for' receiving and: takirg in at the faid Receipt fuch further Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding five hundred feventy- feven thoufand fourteen Pounds fixteen Shillings and one Penny Earthing, as any Perfon or Perfons, Na- tives or Foreigners, Bodies Politick or Corporate, will advance -and pay for purchafing an Annuity or Annuities after a Rate not exceeding four Pounds per Centum per Annum; which Annuity or Annuities mall be paid out of the faid general Fund by this Aft eflablifhed or intended to be eflablifhed, and fhall likewife be redeemable by Parliament according to this Aft; and the laid Commifiioners of the Treafury, or High Treafurer and Under Treafurer of the- Exchequer for the i ime being, are hereby authorized and required to iflue and apply, or caufe to be iffued and'applied, all the faid Monies not exceeding five hundred feventy- kven thoufand fourteen Pounds fixteen Shillings and one Penny Farthing, lb to be advanced, for the Ufe and Service of the Publick in the faid Office of the Navy, and fuch other publick Offices, as are deficient of their Supplies which were granted or intended to be granted in the laft Seffion of Parliament. And be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That all and every Perfon and Perfons, Annuities to Natives or Foreigners, Bodies Politick and Corporate, who in purfuance of this Aft fhall advance and pay Soi' ,C &c '" ° into* the -Exchequer any Sum or Sums of Money, for purchafing an Annuity or Annuities at fuch respec- tive Rates, as aforefaid, fhall upon his, her or their advancing and paying the fame, have and receive, from the proper Officers in the faid Exchequer, a Tally or Tallies of Sol' for the Money fo advanced or paid; and that all and every fuch Perfon and Perfons, Bodies Politick and Corporate, his, her and their Executors, Adminiftrators, 'SucceiTors and Affigns refpeftively, for every Sum fo advanced and paid, fhall. have, receive snd enjoy, and be entitled by this Aft to have, receive and enjoy, an Annuity or Annuities, after the Rate to be Specified; in the faid refpeftive Warrants of the Commiffioners of the Treafury, or High Treafurer for the Time being, fo as the fame do not exceed the refpeftive Rate or Rates by this Aft prefcribed';- and in fuch refpeftive Warrant or Warrants to be exprefled, as aforefaid, out of the Annuities how Monies of the faid General Fund of feven hundred twenty-four thoufand eight hundred forty-nine Pounds to be paid. fix Shillings and ten Pence and one fifth Part of a Penny per Annum, by this Aft eflablifhed or intended; to be eflablifhed, as aforefaid; and that fuch Annuity and Annuities for fuch Monies fo to be advanced, fhall be paid and payable to the refpeftive -Perfon and Perfons, Bodies Politick and Corporate, their Exe- cutors, Adminiftrators, Succeffors and Affigns refpeftively, in Manner following; that is to fay, The firft Payment, or Payments of fuch Annuity or Annuities fo to be purchafed fhall be computed by the Day, and Satisfied from the Day or refpeftive Days on which the Monies fo to be advanced, or any Part or Parts thereof, fhall be advanced and paid into the Exchequer, as aforefaid, until the quarterly Feaft-day, or refpective quarterly Feail-days then next enfuing; and from thenceforth the fame Annuity or Annuities fo to be purchafed fhall be paid and payable at the four mofl ufual Feafls or Days of Payment in the Year, aforementioned, by even and equal Portions, until the Redemption thereof by Parliament, according to the. Provifo herein after contained in that Behalf. The Account- XXV.
