And whereas the faid Governor and Company of Merchants of Great Britain, to manifeft their ' Zeal for the publick Service, by f urn i filing Money towards leffening the faid national Debts and Incum- ' brances, have propofed to advance to his Majeliy any further Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding ' two Millions, at fuch Times and by fuch Proportions at a Time, as the Commiffioners of his Majsfty's
- Treafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the High Treafurer, or any three or more of the
- Cornmiffioners of the Treafury for the Time being fhall call for the fame, to be employed for or towards
' the difcharging or leflening the faid national Debts and Incumbrances; fo as fuch Calls, do not exceed in '* the whole the Sum of two Millions, and be all made on or before the twenty-fourth Day of December ' one thoufand feven hundred and Seventeen; and fo as the faid Governor and Company of Merchants of Great Britain be not required at any one Tim; to advance more than one Fourth Part of the faid Sur lm, '* and have fourteen Days Time at leaft for advancing each Part of the fame, which fh?Jl be called for;
