That the Lord ciaufc for AI- ' Treafurer 01 Comrniflloners of the Treafury for the Time being fljall be impowercd to make Allowances to liMvar.cc ■ ' the feveral Receivers General of the Land-Taxes and Duties on Houfes, for their extraordinary Charges reiras ci'i.^d- ' in bringing, remitting and paying into the Exchequer the Money, over and above the Poundage allowable Tax AIoluCi - ' by the refpeetive Acts of Parliament for the faid Taxes and Duties, upon Reports made to them by the ' proper Officers for that Purpoie :' Be it therefore enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That the Lords Commiffioners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the Lord High Treafurer, or any three or more of the Commiffioners of the Treafury for the Time being, be impowercd and they are hereby impowered to caufe fuch Sums of Money as he or they, upon due Consideration of fuch Reports made or to be made by the proper Officers for thatPurpofe, fhall judge to be juft and reafonablc to be paid or allowed from Time to Time to fuch Perfons as have been, or are, or fhall be Receivers, their Sureties,- Executors, Administrators or Affigns refpectively, as well for the Time paft as for the future, out of any Overplus Monies arifen or to arifc by any Land-Tax granted or to be granted, and which doth or fhall re- main after difcharging all the Principal and Intereft-Monies and other Payments charged or to be charged thereupon by Authority of Parliament, and not otherwife ; any former Law or Statute to the contrary not- withftanding. ' XXXV II. ' of one thoufand one hundred fixty-eight Pounds eight Shillings and five Pence Half-Penny, towards fatis- ' fying the faid Sum of eight thoufand five hundred and ninety Pounds fixteen Shillings and eight Pence ' Half-penny; and the growing Duties on Hops have been made Part of the Fund, called the Aggregate ' Fund, the Overplus whereof is difpofable only for publick Ufes, directed or to be directed by Parliament :' Now to the End that the faid Sum of eight thoufand five hundred and ninety Pounds fixteen Shillings and eight Pence Half-penny, and the Intereft thereof, may be juftly fatisfied, and that a Stop may be put to the growing Intereft at the faid Rate, Be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That the faid Sum of one thoufand one hundred fixty-eight Pounds eight Shillings and five Pence Half-penny, with fo much of the faid Overplus Monies, as together fhall be fufficient to difcharge the faid Sum of eight thoufand five hundred and ninety Pounds fixteen Shillings and eight Pence Half-penny, and all the Intereft incurred or to grow due thereupon, fhall be iflued and applied thereunto upon the proper Orders in Courfe, whereby the faid Principal and Intereft are due ; any Claufe, Matter or Thing in this Aft, or any other Law or Statute whatfoever, to the contrary notwithstanding.. XXXVIII. Provided always, and be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That all Monies lent and to Appropriation of be lent to his Majefty upon one Act of this Seffion of Parliament, intituled, An Ati for granting an Aid to the Money his Majefty by a Land-Tax to be raifed in Great Britain, for the Service of the Year one thoufand [even hundred 6 rante( l this twenty and one, and fo much Money (if any fuch be) of the Tax thereby granted, as fhall arife and remain Se ™ n - after all the Loans made or to be made on the Act laft-mentioned, and all the Loans by this Act transferred c /["' or directed to be transferred to the Register for the faid Land-Tax, and the Intereft cf the faid feveral and respective Loans, and the Charges allowable for railing the faid Land-Tax, fhall be fatisfied, or Money fuf- ficient {hall be referved in the Exchequer to difcharge the fame ; and all the Monies to be raifed by way of a Lottery or otherwife, by Virtue of thisprefent Act, and fo much of the Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry, by this Act granted or continued, as fhall arife and remain (if any fuch be) after all the Pay- ments hereby directed to be made upon Certificates, as well for the fortunate as unfortunate Tickets above- mentioned, and the Charges by this Act allowable for the Execution thereof, fhallbe fatisfied, or Monies fufficient fhall be referved to difcharge the fame, (hall be appropriated and applied, and are hereby appro- priated for and towards the feveral Ufes, Intents and Purpoils herein expretTed, fubjedt neverthelefs to fuch i^eftrictions as are herein after prefcribed, that is to fay ; XXXIX. And it is hereby enacted and declared, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies provided as afore- For Naval Ser- . faid there fhall or may be iflued or applied any Sum and Sums of Money, not exceeding feven hundred thirty- vices. nine thoufand forty-nine Pounds and fourteen Shillings, for or towards defraying the Charge of the Ordinary of his Majefty's Navy, and for Half-pay to Sea-Officers, and for or towards Victual, Wages, Wear and Tear of the Navy, and the Victualling thereof performed and to be performed ;. and for or toward Sea-Ser- vices in the Office of the Ordnance performed and to be performed, and other Services of the Navy performed and to be performed ; and any further Sum and Sums of Money not exceeding fifty thoufand two hundred Pounds, for or towards extraordinary Repairs of his Majefty's Navy performed and to be performed. ■ XLI.
