XXXIII. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That all the principal Monies, for'Lottery ilnrttri- which the faid feveral Annuitie's after the Rate of three Pounds per Centum per Annum (hall be payable by ticS t0 ^ '"' c . the Calhier of the Bank of England for the Time being as aforefaid, (hall be deemed and taken to be-' " 1 ° * one Capital or Joint Stock, on which the fame Annuities (hall be attending, and (hall be called The 'Joint Stock of Lottery Annuities for the Year one thoujand feven hundred and thirty-one ; and that all Perfons and Corporations, in Proportion to their respective Annuities, (hall have a Share in fuch Stock, and that all fuch Shares (hall be affignable, transferable and devifeable, in the fame Manner as is preicribed Shares therein by At or Acts of Parliament made in the firft Year of his late Majefty's Reign, touching the Annuities a,r, S» able - after the Rate of five Pounds per Centum per Annum therein mentioned, and that no Stamp Duties what- foevcr (h. 11 be chargeable on fuch Transfers ; and that the faid Governor and Company of the Bank of England (notwithstanding the Redemption of all or any other P'unds or Annuities in Purfuance of the Banktoconti- Acts for eftablifhing the fame, or any of them) (hall continue a Corporation to all Inttnts and Purpofes nue a Corpora- relating to the receiving, paying or accounting for the faid Annuities of three Pounds per Cetotiim,j/er Annuities be Annum fo payable by the.r Calhier, till the fame (hall be redeemed according to this Act ; and that the redeemed, ("aid Governor and Company of the Bank of England, or any Members thereof, (hall not incur any Difability for or by Reafon of their doing any Matter or Thing in Purfuance of this A<5t. XXXIV. And it is hereby enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That no Fee or Gratuity whatfoever no Fee to be fhall or maybe demanded or taken of any of his Majefty's Subjects for paying the faid Annuities of taken, three Pounds per Centum per Annum, or any of them, by the faid Calhier for the Time being ; and that no Fee or Gratuity (hall be demanded or taken for any Transfer of any Sum, great or fmall, to be made in Purfuance of this Act, upon Pain that any Officer or Perfon offending, by taking any Fee or Gratuity- contrary to this Act, (hall forfeit the Sum of twenty Pounds to the Party grieved, to be recovered with full Colts in any of his Majefty's Courts of Record at JVeJlminJier. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That all the Monies of the faid addi- Additional Da- t'.onal Duties on (lamped Vellum, Parchment and Paper by this Act appropriated or mentioned to be sumpVhow t» appropriated as aforefaid, fhall be iiTued and applied in Manner and Form following j that is to fay be applied, (fuch Charges as are herein before directed to be paid thereout excepted) to anfwer ana pay the Annuity of fourteen thoufand Pounds, being after the Rate of three Pounds ten Shillings per Centum per Annum, upon the principal Sum of four hundred thoufand Pounds, by this Act before directed to be advanced and paid into the Receipt of the Exchequer, upon Credit of the faid additional Duties, reckoning the firft Payment thereupon to be paid and payable at the Feaft of the Annunciation of the blelTed Virgin Mary in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-two, and the fubfequent Payments 1 half yearly, by even and equal Portions, untilthe Redemption thereof bv Parliament, according to the Provifo herein after contained in that Behalf ; and after referving fufficient to pay and fatisfy from Time to Time fo much as at any half yearly Feaft-Day lh 11 be grown due upon the faid Annuity of fourteen thoufand Pounds, by this Act made payable at the Receipt of Exchequer as aforefaid, then to iilue and pay unto the faid Cafhier of the Bank of England, out of the Monies remaining in the faid Receipt of Exchequer, afifen by the faid additional Duties on (tamped Vellum, Parchment and Paper, the further yearly Sum or Annuity of twenty-four thoufand Pounds, for anfwering and paying ail and every the Annuities or yearly Payments after the Rate of three Pounds per Centum per Annum, to the Contributors in the Lottery in this Act before mentioned, reckoning the firft Payment thereupon to be paid and payable at the Feaft-Day of the Birth of our Lord Chrift in the Year of our Lord one thou- fand feven hundred and thirty-one, and the fubfequent Payments half yearly, until Redemption thereof by Parliament as aforefaid ; any Thing herein before contained to the contrary thereof in any wife not- withftai.ding. XXXVI. And it is hereby enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That if at any Time or Times the Deficiency how Produce of the faid additional Duties on damped Vellum, Parchment and Paper (hall happen to be fo to be fuppted. low or deficient, as that the Monies arifing therefrom into the Exchequer (hall not be fufficient to pay and difcharge both or either of the refpective Annuities by this Act appropriated and directed to be paid thereout, at the End of either of the refpective half yearly Days of Payment, at which the fame are hereby directed to be made, then and fo often, and in every fuch Cafe, fuch Deficiency or Defi- ciencies (hall and may be fupplied out of the overplus Monies that (hail or may happen to arife and be paid into the Exchequer, in any or either of the fubfequent half Years, as the faid refpective An- nuities (hall from Time to Time in courfe become due and payable ; and in cafe fuch overplus Monies (hall not be fufficient to fatisfy the Deficiencies hereby intended (rem Time to Time to be paid thereout, that then, and in every fuch Cafe, the Deficiencies fo from Time to Time happening, fhall from Time to Time be anfwered and made gool by and out of the firft Supples which fhall be granted in Parlia- ment next after fuch Deficiencies (hall appear ; and in cafe no fuch Supplies (hall be granted within fix Months next after fuch Deficiencies (hall happen, then the fame lhall be made good out of any the Mo- nies which at any Time or Times (hall be or remain in the Receipt of the Exchequer, of the Surplufies, Excefles or Overplus Monies commonly called The Sinking Fund (except fuch Monies of the fame Sink- ing Fund as are appropriated to any particular Ufe or Ufes, by any former Act o'r Acts of Parliament iff that Behalf) and fuch Monies of the faid Sinking Fund (hall and may from Time to Time be iffued and applied accordingly.
