After 2< March 1733, No Pe- nalty to be in- curred for Ab- breviations commonly ufed in Englifh, nor Technical Terras, &c. Profecntions to be commenced within 3 Months. Prccefs of the Pipe Office, &c. may be iffu- ed as formerly, if the Procefs annexed be in Englifh, and a .common Hand, Court, of the perfonal Service of fiich Writ or Procefs as aforefaid (which faid Affidavit fhall be filed in the faid Court, and for the filing whereof there fhall be paid the bum of one Shilling to the proper Officer, and no more) to enter an Appearance for fuch Defendant or Defendants, and to proceed thereon as if the Defendant or Defendants had entred his, her or their Appearance to fuch Action or Actions ; any Law or Ufage in the faid Courts of Great Seffions or of Affize to the contrary not- withftanding. II. Provided always, no Attorney, Bailiff or other Perfon fhall have, take, charge or demand more than the Sum of five Shillings for the making^ and ferving a Copy of fuch original Writ or Procefs iftuing out of fuch Courts of Great Seffions or of Affize, on fuch Defendant or Defendants refpeclively as aforefaid. ' III. And whereas Doubts have arifen whether an Act made in the fourth Year of his prefent Ma- ' jefty's Reign, intituled, An Ail that all Proceedings in Courts of Juftice within that Part of Great Bri- ' tain called England, and in the Court of Exchequer in Scotland, Jhall be in the Englifh Language, doth ' extend to the faid Courts of Great Seffions and other Courts in the Principality of Wale., the faid ' Courts of Great Seffions, and the faid other Courts in the faid Principality, not being therein men- ' tioned :' For the removing and obviating of fuch Doubts, be it further enacted, a^d it is hereby declared, That the faid laft mentioned Act, and all Claufes and Directions therein, fhall be deemed and taken, and is and are hereby directed to be deemed and taken to extend to the faid Courts of Great Sef- fions, and all other Courts within the faid Principality of Wales, in as large, ample and beneficial Manner as if the faid Courts of Great Seffions, and the faid other Courts in the laid Principality, had been particularly mentioned and expreffed in the faid Act. IV. And it is hereby further enacted, That where any Perfon or Perfons fhall offend againft the faid laft mentioned Act in the laid Courts of Great Seffions, or the faid other Courts in Wales, that the Penalty expreffed in the faid Act to be forfeited and paid for fuch Offence, (hall and may be fued for and recovered by fuch Perfon who fhall fue for the fame, by Action of Debt, Bill, Plaint or Informa- tion, either in any of his Majefty's Courts of Record in Weftminfter, as by the faid Act is directed, or in the Court of Great Seffions held_ for the County where the fame Offence fhall be committed, wherein no Effoign, Protection or Wager of Law, or more than one Imparlance fhall be allowed. V. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That all Writs, Procefs and Returns there- of, and Proceedings thereon, and all Pleadings, Rules, Orders, Indictments, Informations, Inquiiitions, Prelentments, Verdicts, Prohibitions, Certificates, Patents, Charters, Pardons, Commiffions, Records, Judgments, Statutes, Recognizances, Bonds, Rolls, Entries, Fines and Recoveries, and all Proceed- ings relating thereunto, and all Proceedings of Courts Leet, Courts Baron and Cuftomary Courts, and all Copies thereof, and all Proceedings whatfoever, in any Courts of Juftice within England, Wales and the Town of Berwick upon Tweed, and in the Court of Exchequer in Scotland, and which concern the Law and Adminiftration of Juftice, may from and after the twenty-fifth Day of March one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-three, be written or printed in a common legible Hand and Character, and with the like Way of Writing or Printing, and with the like Manner of expreffing Numbers by Figures, as have been heretofore or are now commonly ufed in the faid Courts reflectively, and with fuch Ab- breviations as are now commonly ufed in the Englijh Language, and that no Penalty or Punifhment fhall be incurred, by Virtue of the faid recited Act, for any other Offence than for Writing or Printing any of the Proceedings, or other the Matters and Things above mentioned, in any Hand commonly called Court Hand, or in any Language except the Englijli Language ; nor (hall any fuch Penalty or Punifh- ment be extended to the expreffing the proper or known Names of Writs or other Procefs or Tech- nical Words in the fame Language as hath been commonly ufed, fo as the fame be written or printed in a common legible Hand and Character, and not in any Hand commonly called Court Hand; and that all Profecutions for Offences againft the faid Act fhall be commenced within three Months after the fame fhall be committed ; and that the feveral Officers in the feveral Offices of the King's and the Lord Treafurer's Remembrancer, and in the Offices of the Clerk of the Pipe, and the Clerk of Eftreats in his Majefty's Court of Exchequer, (hall and may write and fend out, in Procefs for his Majeftv's Service, Rolls or Schedules of all fuch Debts as have been forfeited and became due and owing to his faid Majefty, before the faid twenty-fifth Day of March one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-three, in the fame Manner they ufed to do, provided the Writ or Procefs to be annexed to the faid Rolls or Schedules fhall be in the Englifl) Tongue and in a common legible Hand, and according to the Direction of the faid recited Act ; any Thing in the faid Act made in the fourth Year of his prefent Majefty's Reign, or any other Law or Statute to the contrary thereof in any wife notwithstanding. CAP. XV. An Act for making more effectual an Act paffed in the eleventh Year of the Reign of his late Majefty King George the Firft, for repairing the Roads therein mentioned, from the Parilh of Enfield in the County of Middlefcx, to the Town of Hertford, and to the great Bridge in Ware in the County of Htrtford, and for amending the Road from the faid great Bridge to the South End of the great Bridge at Wades Mill, and from the great Road at Che/hunt to the Weft End of Small Lea Bridge in the faid County of Hertford. PR. All Powers granted by the Act 11 Geo. 1. c. 11. for repairing Enfield Road further continued for 7 Years, and after 3 May 1733, extended to Wades Mill, Sec CAP.
