- to the End of the next Seffion of Parliament, there fhould be paid the Sum of thirty Pounds, and
' for every Tun of French Brandy of double Proof, imported as aforefaid, fixty Pounds, over and above
- the Duties charged thereupon, without any Deduction, and fo proportionably for a greater or leffer
' Quantity, which faid feveral Duties have been by feveral Acts of Parliament fince continued, and are ' now payable to his Majefty : And whereas the high Duties upon French Brandies have tempted many i of the Traders therein to import great Quantities thereof from Flemijh Ports, and as German or Flemijh
- Brandy, to the great Prejudice of the Revenue and the fair Trader ;' For Remedy whereof, be it
enacted by the Authority atorefaid, That from and after the faid twenty-fourth Day of June one thou- fand feven hundred and thirty-three, the faid Duty of thirty Pounds per Tun on French Brandy of fingle Proof, and fixty Pounds per Tun on French Brandy of double Proof, (hall ceafe, determine and be no longer paid or payable. III.
